About Colour Sudoku
Colour Sudoku is a little different to “Classic” Sudoku, so before going any further, you should probably be sure you are reasonably familiar with Classic Sudoku.
Colour Sudoku changes one element of the Classic Sudoku puzzle, the aim being to create a slightly different type of puzzle. Colour Sudoku is a little more challenging than conventional sudoku, if for no other reason than it is less structured.
Much like Classic Sudoku, in Colour Sudoku you need to enter numbers into the blank boxes in the grid. The numbers 1 to 9 must appear once and only once in each column and row. In Classic Sudoku, the numbers 1 to 9 must also appear in each 3 by 3 block - however this is not the case in Colour Sudoku.
In Colour Sudoku, instead of filling in the numbers 1 to 9 in each of the 3 by 3 blocks, you must enter 1 to 9 in the 9 boxes of each colour - i.e. there are nine yellow boxes, and the yellow boxes must contain the digits 1 to 9.
It’s a simple as that - enjoy!
